News Update:More awards for actor Kim Nam Gil despite showbiz hiatus

Recognitions were again awarded to actor Kim Nam Gil for his projects during the last quarter of 2009.

MBC's documentary Tears of Amazon, where in Kim Nam Gil was the narrator,  won the SILVER World Medal in New York Festivals held last February 1, 2011, under the cultural issues category.

The New York Festivals® World's Best Television & Films™ recognize the "World's Best Work™" in news, sports, documentary, information and entertainment program as well as in music videos, infomercials, promotion spots, openings and ID's. Now entering its 54th year, the total number of entries continues to grow, now representing over 35 different countries, making the NYF™ Television & Film Awards one of the most well known and widely respected competitions on the globe. 

In the recently concluded 4th DienAnh.net movie awards, Bidam of Queen Seon Deok was awarded as the most favorite character in the drama. The awarding was held in Tan Binh Distric, Ho Chi Min City last April 17, 2011.

 QUEEN SEON DEOK Philippines (QSDPH),  the first and longest running Koreanovela fanpage in the Philippines (with almost 50,000 likes) held its first Golden Choice Awards in April 24. Kim Nam Gil won in the following categories:

•  Bidam :Best Male Character

•  Oustanding Post QSD Comeback: Kim Nam Gil in Bad Guy

•  Best Couple: BiDeok (Bidam and Deokman)
